Haiku for Hester

On October 18, our family lost a most precious treasure.  To some, she was mother.  To others, she was grandmother.  To others, she was Hester the Great(grandmother).  She was like no one I have ever known.  She had a wide range of interests...I am not kidding...she was intrigued by all matter of this and that.  One of them was poetry and to stretch that, she had a fondness for Haiku.  It’s taken me a few weeks to pull it together.  It’s probably nothing like traditional Haiku, so forgive me if any of you are Haiku purists.  Please read it in the spirit it is offered.  I had a lot of fun doing it.
