The Necessity of Kindness

I've been thinking about the subject of kindness a lot lately.

What it looks like, who gives it and who receives.  Who craves it, who rejects it.

Sometimes, it's easy to be kind.  Sometimes, it's not.

The one thing about kindness that is an undeniable absolute is that it is necessary.

Whether or not you want to be kind.  Whether or not you have a headache, toothache or backache.

Your opinions about the situation or the players involved are immaterial.

Kindness is always the best choice.

Kindness never goes out of style.

Kindness has no cultural, socio-economic, geographical, political or religious boundaries.  Kindness eliminates the boundaries. Kindness defies gender.  Kindness is multilingual.

It is ageless.  It is timeless.

Kindness is contagious.  It is economic...a little goes a long way.

Without kindness, we are no better than the animals of lower order.

Without kindness, the naturally occurring difficulties of life are made more difficult.

Without kindness, civilization ends.

Kindness is necessary.
