Christmas Caroling...Day 10

Not really a song, per say, but definitely Christmas.  It's a poem by Helen Steiner Rice and it tells the story of Conrad as he waits patiently for a Christmas Day visit with the LORD.  Only, the visit doesn't go as Conrad planned.  The LORD doesn't come according to Conrad's way of thinking.  Hmmm...pretty central theme to Christmas, isn't it?  So many looked for the promised Messiah to come in with great fanfare and ado.  They expected that his arrival would be more than obvious.  There was no fanfare and his birth was rather inconspicuous.  Folds right in with the verse out of Isaiah that tells us how God's plans and ways are so much higher and wiser than ours.
